This isn't just about being a mom. Life is so hard, it can bring you down. It takes its toll on people everyday. I saw something that was very interesting on Oprah. It's called the challenge. It brought different groups of teenagers together to open up and to start being real. What I saw was absolutely amazing. What I heard was amazing. Imagine your father leaving you at fourteen and not saying bye. Then your mother finding out that she has ovarian cancer. At fourteen he had to take care of his mom and worry about grades and the social issues at school.
Now I'm not naive. We all have our problems and have had problems. If we could just all realize that we are all hurting in some way or another and look out for one another. I believe this world would start to be a better place.

One small thing that I remember dealing with in high school and still do today. People judge people on what they wear and how they look. I always worry about what I'm going to wear and how I am going to look.

My name is Jaime and I am a stay at home mom. My son and I attend a playdate about once a week. It's always interesting to me to watch every one interact.
Today's playdate was one where I met two other mothers. I am just not into trying to make conversation with people just because we have kids. This is silly to me. Do we go around talking to people in the stores because we are buying milk? Do we wave to people who drive the same cars as us? Well I think some people do. But of course we do this so that our children learn social skills.
Another thing that i find is we are always comparing parenting skills, what every child is doing or not doing. Don't people find this exhausting? I do but I'm guilty of it also.

Well this is it for now, please leave your comments. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
